Hidden Sanctuaries: Café Noriter

Image

Starbucks, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, UCC Coffee Shop. These are some of the coffee shops that are most likely found around your area. A place where you can grab your favorite cup of hot, freshly brewed coffee, feel all cozy and study your ass off like you just don’t care. Aw yeah. Well another one of those coffee shops would be Café Noriter. (Only it’s a bit better if you ask for my opinion haha)

Café Noriter is a korean-themed coffee shop/hangout place found along Estrada St. cor. Taft Avenue. I’m not exactly sure what “Noriter” means though. I’ll try searching. Anyway, ever sinced I’ve started studying at a university near the area I’ve always been curious about the place. I’ve heard a lot about it from other students who kept raving that it was such a cute and unique hangout to go to. I never really got to visit up until now. (3 years has passed golly)

Upon entering this hidden sanctuary I was greeted by a glass door with wooden frames where “Noriter” waswritten with white paint in the middle. Okay so I researched, Noriter means Playground which definitely fits the place alright.

The place boasts wooden floors and walls. Some parts of the place are elevated.

Customers can also write on the wall boards apparently. Whether it be an anniversary, birthday or a simple hangout date go write on that wall! Haha. The walls are pretty crowded though since the place has been open for a while already.

Well anyway, at this place you kinda get that comfortable tree house feel. I’ve no idea what I’m blabbing about but it’s true. You feel at ease at this place. It’s as if you feel like you’ve just rekindled with a piece of your childhood.

Unlike your regular coffee shop, Noriter doesn’t sell a lot of cakes/sweets. They’re all coffee, tea, a few sandwiches and halo halo(shaved ice garnished with different ingredients like red beans and ice cream). Prices are reasonable too and you get your money’s worth I ASSURE YOU.

I ordered the “Noriter” sandwich while my friends got the Tuna sandwich and ham,egg and cheese sandwich. Serving size was enough to get my stomach satisfied. It was awesoooome so to say haha. Drink sizes would be the equivalent of the biggest size you can get at starbucks so that’s worth your money too.

The cute and unique interior, cups and walls where you can write dedications, and that cozy feels. A very accomodating place. I’ve got to visit this place again and explore with what else they have to offer. Until then. Over and Out.
